Mr Fortune Casino How to Deposit

How to deposit, step by step

The cashier works the same on a phone and on a laptop, and it is the same cashier for every method. A first deposit takes about two minutes if your card or wallet is to hand.

  1. 1

Log in and choose euro — Your account currency is set at sign-up. Pick EUR: an Irish card charged in another currency pays a conversion fee, and the currency cannot be changed later.

  2. 2

Open the cashier — Tap Deposit in the header. The list you see is filtered for Ireland, so a method missing there is not available to you, whatever you read elsewhere.

  3. 3

Pick the method — Choose a debit card, Trustly, an e-wallet or a voucher. The minimum for that method appears under the amount field.

  4. 4

Decide on the bonus first — If you want the welcome package or another offer, claim it before paying and keep your balance at €1 or less. A bonus cannot be added to a deposit afterwards.

  5. 5

Enter the amount — Anything from the method's minimum up to €7,000. If you have set a deposit limit, the cashier will not let you go over it.

  6. 6

Confirm with your bank or wallet — Cards go through 3-D Secure in your banking app; Trustly opens your own bank's login; e-wallets ask for their password or app approval.

  7. 7

Check the balance — The money appears straight away. If it does not within a few minutes, do not pay again; open live chat with the time and amount.

How it looks on your bank statement

Card deposits do not say "Mr Fortune" on your statement. According to the casino's General Terms and Conditions, transactions appear under the name of the company that runs it, Green Feather Online. That is normal for Maltese-licensed casinos, and it is the same name you will see if you also play at Boo Casino, bCasino or Galactic Wins, which belong to the same company.

With Trustly the line is created by your own bank, so it usually reads as a Trustly payment with a reference. E-wallets such as Skrill, Neteller or MuchBetter show nothing from the casino at all on your bank statement: your bank sees only the top-up of the wallet, and the casino payment is visible inside the wallet's own history. Vouchers never touch your bank account.

A few points worth knowing before you look for the payment:

  • Pending card payments can show under a slightly shorter or capitalised version of the name for a day or two before they settle.
  • Irish banks mark gambling payments with the card-scheme code for gambling (MCC 7995), which is how in-app gambling blocks recognise them.
  • If you see a payment you do not recognise under that name, check whether someone in your household uses a sister brand before you raise it with your bank.
  • A deposit refunded after a decline can take a few working days to leave your "pending" list; it is not taken twice.

Debit cards: Visa and Mastercard

For most Irish players a debit card is the simplest route. AIB, Bank of Ireland, PTSB, Revolut, N26 and An Post Money all issue Visa or Mastercard debit cards, and Mr Fortune accepts both. The payment is instant, it costs nothing on the casino side, and you can withdraw back to the same card, which usually takes up to four working days after the withdrawal has been processed.

You confirm each card deposit with 3-D Secure, which in Ireland almost always means a push notification in your banking app rather than a text code. If the notification never arrives, open the banking app manually; the approval screen is often waiting there.

Credit cards are a different story. Since 5 February 2026, the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 prohibits the use of credit cards and other credit facilities for gambling in Ireland, and that includes e-wallets topped up from a credit card. Irish issuers decline such payments at their end, so even where a casino's cashier accepts a card number, the payment will fail. If your card is a charge card or a credit card that looks like a debit card, that is the most likely reason for a decline.

Two smaller things: the card must be in your name, matching your Mr Fortune account; and if you deposited with a card, the casino will generally pay a withdrawal back to that card first, up to the amount you deposited with it.

All deposit methods at a glance

This is the full list of methods shown to Irish accounts, with the numbers from the casino's terms. Mr Fortune publishes one minimum range for all methods rather than a figure per method, so the exact minimum for yours appears in the cashier when you select it.

* Minimum €10–30 depending on the method (General T&C, v14, 4 March 2026); a help article quotes €5, but promotions ask for more: €20 for the welcome package, €10–24 for the regular offers. Maximum €7,000 per deposit. Withdrawals: minimum €20, up to €15,000 per rolling 30 days, processed in 3–5 business days. Checked 22 September 2026.

Two fees can apply that are not payment fees. Depositing in a currency other than your account currency can carry a small conversion charge. And if you deposit and then ask to withdraw without having played the money through at least three times, the terms allow a 15% administration fee (minimum €10). Play what you deposit, or do not deposit it.

E-wallets and vouchers

E-wallets are the fastest way back out: once Mr Fortune has processed a withdrawal, it lands in the wallet straight away instead of waiting up to four working days for a card or bank. They also keep casino payments off your bank statement. Vouchers go one step further and keep your bank out of it entirely, at the cost of not being able to withdraw to them.

  • Skrill — One of the most common casino wallets in Europe. Top it up from your bank or debit card, deposit instantly, withdraw back instantly after approval.
  • Neteller — Owned by the same group as Skrill and works the same way. Good if you already use it on other sites; the account must be in your own name.
  • MuchBetter — An app-first wallet: deposits are approved with a tap in the MuchBetter app. Handy on a phone, and payouts arrive in the app.
  • Jeton — A smaller e-wallet with a card and app. Deposits and withdrawals work like Skrill; check its own top-up fees before you use it.
  • AstroPay — A prepaid card and wallet. Load it first, then pay the casino with the balance; useful if you want a fixed budget for the month.
  • Paysafecard, Neosurf, Flexepin — Prepaid vouchers bought for cash in shops or online. Enter the code (Neosurf uses a 10-digit code) and the deposit is instant. You cannot withdraw to a voucher, so you will need a bank, card or wallet for payouts.

Remember that a wallet topped up from a credit card is treated as credit under Irish law. Load your wallet from a debit card or a bank transfer. PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay are not offered in the Mr Fortune cashier, so there is no point looking for them; a Revolut card works as a normal Visa or Mastercard debit card.

Why a deposit gets declined

Most declines are not the casino's decision. They come from your bank, your card type or a limit you set yourself. Work down this list before you try the payment again; repeating a failed payment five times in a row is the quickest way to get your card blocked by the bank's fraud system.

  • It is a credit card — Credit cards and credit-funded wallets cannot be used for gambling in Ireland since 5 February 2026. Use a debit card, Trustly or an e-wallet funded from your current account.
  • A gambling block is switched on — Revolut, AIB and Bank of Ireland let you block gambling payments in their apps. Revolut's block has a cooling-off period of about 48 hours before it can be switched off again. If you turned it on, that decline is doing its job.
  • 3-D Secure did not complete — The approval in your banking app timed out or was rejected. Start again and approve within the time limit.
  • The name does not match — The card, wallet or bank account must be in the same name as your Mr Fortune account. Someone else's card will be refused, and may trigger a review.
  • Below the minimum or over a limit — Each method has a minimum between €10 and €30. Above that, your own deposit limit, the €7,000 cap or your wallet balance can stop the payment.
  • Your bank blocked it as unusual — A first payment to a foreign merchant can be flagged. Confirm it is you in the banking app or call the bank, then try once more.
  • Verification is pending — If the casino has asked for documents, deposits can be paused until they are checked. Upload what support asked for.
  • Wrong currency — A card in sterling or another currency on a euro account adds a conversion step and a fee, and some issuers refuse it. Use a euro card.

Bank rails: what happens behind the button

It helps to know which road your money takes, because it explains why some payments are instant and why some withdrawals wait for Monday.

Card payments run on the Visa and Mastercard networks. The casino receives an authorisation within seconds, which is why the balance updates at once, while the money itself settles between banks over the next day or two. That is also why a declined or reversed payment can linger as "pending" in your app.

Trustly uses open banking. You log in to your own bank through Trustly, approve a payment from your current account, and the casino is told immediately that it is coming. Under the hood it is a SEPA transfer in euro. It is a good option if you do not want to use a card at all, and payouts can go back to the same bank account.

SEPA transfers for withdrawals to a bank take one to two working days to arrive once released, and they do not settle at weekends or on bank holidays. A withdrawal approved on a Friday evening will usually land on Monday or Tuesday.

E-wallets move money inside their own systems. The casino pays the wallet, the wallet credits you, and there is nothing for the SEPA network to do until you move the money on to your bank.

Which one to choose? If you want the simplest set-up, use your debit card. If you want fast payouts, use an e-wallet. If you want no card details anywhere, use Trustly. If you want a hard budget and privacy from your bank, use a voucher and accept that you will need a different method to withdraw.

Whatever you pick, think about the way back before the way in. Withdrawals at Mr Fortune are processed in 3 to 5 business days, with a €20 minimum and a limit of €15,000 per rolling 30 days. After that, the method decides the last leg: e-wallets are instant, cards and bank transfers take up to four working days. Choosing an e-wallet for your deposit is the easiest way to shorten the whole trip, because the casino normally pays winnings back the same way the money came in. If you deposited by voucher, add a bank account or wallet in your name to your profile early, so the first withdrawal is not held up while it is verified.

What players run into most

We do not publish player quotes we cannot verify. These are the deposit questions that come up again and again, with the answer each time:

  • The bonus did not appear — Almost always because the balance was above €1 when the deposit was made, or the bonus was not claimed before paying. It cannot be added afterwards.
  • The money left my bank but not my balance — Card authorisations are instant. If the balance did not move within a few minutes, the payment probably failed and is only pending; it drops off. Ask chat before paying again.
  • My Revolut card keeps failing — Check the gambling block in the Revolut app under card settings. If it is on, you will need to wait out the cooling-off period to remove it, or simply leave it on.
  • I was charged a fee on withdrawal — Mr Fortune does not charge for normal withdrawals. The 15% fee applies only if a deposit was not played through three times before cashing out.

Myths and misconceptions

"A bigger deposit gives you better odds."

The games pay the same percentage whatever you deposit. A bigger deposit only means a bigger match bonus, up to €700 on the first one, and a bigger wagering requirement.

"I can use my credit card if the casino accepts it."

Irish law bans credit for gambling since 5 February 2026. The issuer declines it regardless of what the cashier shows.

"E-wallet deposits never get bonuses."

Some casinos exclude Skrill and Neteller from offers. Check the promotion's own terms; Mr Fortune lists any excluded methods there, not in the cashier.

"Vouchers are anonymous, so no ID is needed."

The deposit is private from your bank, but the casino still verifies your identity, and you need a named method to withdraw.

"The minimum deposit is €5."

A help article mentions €5, but the General Terms put the range at €10–30 by method, and every promotion asks for at least €10.

"Depositing and withdrawing straight away is free."

Only if you play the money. Withdrawing a deposit not played through three times can cost a 15% fee.

Irish banks, one by one

Every Irish current account can fund Mr Fortune, but each bank handles gambling payments slightly differently. This is what to expect from the main ones when you pay by debit card or Trustly.

  • AIB — Visa debit cards approved in the AIB app. The app has a gambling block you can switch on yourself; with it on, casino payments are declined. Trustly works with AIB online banking.
  • Bank of Ireland — Visa debit with approval in the Bank of Ireland app, which also offers a gambling spending block. First payments to a foreign merchant are sometimes held for a quick fraud check.
  • PTSB — Mastercard and Visa debit. A gambling block is set up through PTSB support rather than a toggle in the app, so allow a little time if you want one.
  • Revolut — Works as a normal Visa or Mastercard debit card. Revolut's in-app gambling block needs about 48 hours of cooling-off to switch off again, which is deliberate. Revolut Pay as a separate checkout is not offered by Mr Fortune.
  • N26 — Mastercard debit on an Irish IBAN; approvals come through the N26 app. Deposits behave like any other debit card.
  • An Post Money — A Mastercard debit card that works for deposits. There is no gambling block in the app, so use Mr Fortune's own deposit limits if you want a cap.
  • Ulster Bank and KBC — Both left the Irish market in 2023. If you still have an old card from either, it will not work; move to your new bank's card.
  • Credit unions — Credit union current accounts with a debit card can be used like any other debit card. Credit union loans and credit cards cannot, under the credit ban.

Deposits and bonuses: the rules that matter

Most of the confusion around deposits is really about bonuses. Mr Fortune's offers are attached to a deposit at the moment you make it, so the order of things matters.

First, the balance rule: every promotion requires your balance to be €1 or less when you make the qualifying deposit. If you have €5 left from last night, play it down or withdraw it before you deposit for a bonus. Second, the minimum: €20 for each part of the welcome package, €10 to €24 for Pick My Bonus depending on the option, €15 or €24 for the daily spins, €20 for Game of the Week, and €200 for the Weekly High Roller. A deposit one euro short does not qualify.

Third, the clock. Once the bonus is credited you have 7 days to wager it, at a maximum of €4 per spin, on games from the "Play with Bonus" list. If you would rather not be tied to that, simply do not claim the bonus: a plain deposit is cash you can play anywhere, including roulette and live games, and withdraw whenever you like once it has been played through. The full list of offers is on our bonuses page.

Set a deposit limit before you start

Mr Fortune's responsible gaming policy gives you daily, weekly and monthly limits on deposits, bets and losses. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately; raising or removing one only takes effect after 24 hours, so a bad evening cannot undo a decision you made calmly.

There is also a reality check that pops up at intervals you choose, a time-out for a short break (asking to end it early triggers a 7-day cooling-off), and self-exclusion for 6 months, 1 year or permanently. Permanent exclusion cannot be reversed. If you would rather have a person switch these on for you, ask the 24/7 live chat.

Outside the casino, your bank's gambling block is a second line of defence that works across every site, and free, confidential help is available from Gambling Care and Problem Gambling Ireland.
